The Montreal Canadiens had a tough game last night against the formidable Boston Bruins.

Despite a decent first period from Martin St-Louis's team, things quickly unraveled, leading to a 9-4 defeat.
Samuel Montembeault, after making several key saves early on, started to falter after a powerful shot hit his mask. He ended up conceding eight goals on 30 shots before Cayden Primeau took over for the last 10 minutes of the game.
Normally, with such a performance, Monty might have been excused from facing the media to take a moment to process the event. However, the opposite happened, as the 27-year-old goalie faced the music after the game.
«It's a detail, but worth mentioning: after allowing 8 goals last night in Boston, Samuel Montembeault still showed up in the locker room to face questions. We don't see that often.»

- Richard Labbé

As journalist Richard Labbé from La Presse points out, Montembeault's action is rare and speaks volumes about his character and personality.
He has saved far more games for the Canadiens than he has let slip this season. The right mindset now is to forget this match and focus immediately on the next start.
This defeat doesn't change his excellent performance this season at all.
