We learned yesterday that it would be the end for a Montreal Canadiens defenseman with the organization.

According to what was reported by TVA Sports, even though his season has not yet started, it would unofficially be over for Chris Wideman.
According to Renaud Lavoie, it's not tomorrow morning that the defenseman will be back in town. During the first intermission tonight, he revealed that the chances of seeing Wideman play this season are "quite slim."

Considering he is in the last year of his deal with the club, everything indicates that he may have played his last career game last year at the age of 33.
In total, he played 291 NHL games, scoring 78 points, including 20 goals. He still performed well in his first campaign in Montreal, accumulating 27 points in 64 games. It was much more difficult for him the following year.
It should be noted that Wideman seems to have been an exemplary teammate within the Tricolore. The young players greatly appreciated the veteran.
