The loss of Kirby Dach has unfortunately left a significant void in Montreal's forward core. Although Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, and Sean Monahan are off to a great start this season, the second line of Juraj Slafkovsky, Alex Newhook, and Josh Anderson has been virtually invisible since the injury to number 77.

If the Canadiens want to continue their momentum and potentially vie for a playoff spot, there's no doubt that Canadiens' General Manager, Kent Hughes, will need to bolster the offense.
While Christian Dvorak's return should provide some assistance, it would be surprising if he could make a significant offensive impact, considering he has never hit the 40-point mark in a season.
Interestingly, a compelling option might become available to the Canadiens in the coming weeks. Jesse Puljujarvi, the former fourth overall pick of the Edmonton Oilers, is looking to make an NHL comeback around the beginning of December.
Standing at 6'4" and weighing over 200 pounds, the Finnish forward hasn't lived up to his promising potential in the NHL. Once hailed as a future star in the league, Puljujarvi's trajectory hasn't been as expected. However, with a wealth of raw talent, a fresh start with a new team could be the change of pace he needs to reignite his career.
Considering that Puljujarvi might sign a two-way contract, wanting to prove that he still belongs in the NHL, the financial risk for Montreal would be minimal. Should Kent Hughes offer him a one-season contract? Given the minimal financial implications and the potential upside, it might be a worthy gamble for the Canadiens.
If Puljujarvi manages to secure a spot in Martin St-Louis' top-6, it could prove to be a steal for the Canadiens. With a previous tally of 51 goals and 63 assists (114 points) in 334 NHL games, the 25-year-old forward has shown flashes of his capabilities. His dominance in the World Junior Championship, where he outscored players like Sebastian Aho, Auston Matthews, Patrik Laine, and Matthew Tkachuk, further attests to his potential.
Ultimately, the Canadiens might find it beneficial to take a chance on Puljujarvi. If he can tap into the potential he showcased earlier in his career, it could be a game-changer for Montreal as they look to solidify their offensive lines.
