Just a few days after his arrival with the Edmonton Oilers, a big announcement has just been made for Corey Perry.

The former Montreal Canadiens player has officially moved from the 4th line of the team to the top-6, as he is promoted to the same unit as the excellent Leon Draisaitl and Evander Kane. Wow!

"Corey Perry got a promotion and was moved up with Kane/Draisaitl at today's practice. Foegele is sent with Holloway/McLeod." - Jack Michaels

It's a solid opportunity for him, who can definitely turn the page on what happened in Chicago towards the end of the year.

In 18 games this season, Perry has accumulated nine points. He signed a deal with the Alberta organization on January 22.
