The Boston Bruins have enjoyed the luxury of having top-quality goalies for a long time.
Recently, they had to choose between two excellent netminders, Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman, and they opted for the latter due to his performance in the recent playoffs.
After trading Ullmark to Ottawa, it's clear that Swayman is considered the goalie of the future, but he has yet to sign with the Bruins.
Following a standout season, Swayman is reportedly asking for $9 million per year. The Bruins have only $8.6 million available under the salary cap.
