Marcus Laraque, son of Georges Laraque, is entering the Canadian junior hockey scene after being recently selected by the Seattle Thunderbirds in the fourth round of the Western Hockey League (WHL) draft.

The Thunderbirds even made a trade to acquire this pick, the 79th overall. At just 15 years old, Marcus already stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall.
Last season, he played with HC Edmonton U15, where he scored 13 goals and collected 40 points in 28 regular-season games, as well as 9 goals and 14 points in the playoffs.
Since the WHL drafts players at the bantam level, Marcus will move up to the midget level next year.
