A few hours before facing the Hartford Wolf Pack, head coach Jean-François Houle has announced a significant change to his lineup. Indeed, defensemen Arber Xhekaj and Logan Mailloux will be paired together on the first defensive duo in an attempt to stop the New York Rangers' farm team.
The task will not be easy as the former Rocket player, Alex Belzile, will be back at Place Bell for the first time since he left the Montreal Canadiens organization. He has had an excellent start to the season with an impressive tally of 7 goals and 15 assists (22 points) in 21 AHL games.
As for the CH defenders, Logan Mailloux has accumulated a total of ten points in 21 games in the American league while Arber Xhekaj has recorded three points in 17 games with the Canadiens. One thing is for sure, we are very excited to see them play together, as they could eventually become teammates with the Canadiens.
