We've just received excellent news about Montreal Canadiens prospect Joshua Roy.
The 20-year-old Quebec native has been recognized for his outstanding performance by being named the American Hockey League's (AHL) Rookie of the Month for October.
In seven games, he amassed an impressive five goals and a total of 12 points. He was the top player for the Rocket, and undoubtedly one of the top three in the entire league during the AHL's first month of action.
It's evident that Joshua Roy is quickly establishing himself as a key player in the AHL and a promising prospect for the Montreal Canadiens. His early-season performance suggests a bright future, and Habs fans will likely be keeping a close eye on his development throughout the season.
